What we're looking for

  • Curated, not algorithmic. A human hand picked the tracks. No autoplay mixes, no "Top Hits of 2019," no machine-generated radio stations.
  • On YouTube. YouTube Music and YouTube playlists both work — anything with a playlist?list=… URL. Spotify-only playlists can't embed on our site.
  • A clear through-line. A mood ("late-night reading"), an era ("Enlightenment-era classical"), or a theme ("songs about doubt") — something a reader can feel.
  • Public & stable. Private or frequently-deleted playlists won't work — the tracks need to stay reachable.

Finding the playlist ID

Open the playlist on YouTube or YouTube Music. Look at the URL bar for the list= parameter — everything after the equals sign (up to the next &) is the playlist ID.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZzyUfYacyoJjeBe_unngyzRyczmzag5-

The full URL from your browser's address bar, so we can verify it embeds correctly.

Just the ID after list=. If you're not sure, leave it blank — we'll extract it from the URL.

Keep it under 200 characters — this is what appears on the playlist card.

We credit curators when we can.

We review every suggestion before adding it, and we may trim or re-order tracks for fit. We accept curated lists, not random aggregations. You'll only hear from us if we have a question.
